The FDA says that Lipari Foods has issued a voluntary recall of specific lots of sesame sticks mix and roasted and salted sunflower meat tub products packaged by sister company JLM due to an undeclared cashew (tree nut) allergen.

The products were distributed as generic product without branding to retail stores the many states across the U.S. including New York. 

The agency says people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to cashews run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

So far, there are no reported illnesses in connection with these products.
