Three wooden angel statues were stolen on Saturday from a garage behind Saint Patrick's Church in Newburgh.
The religious objects were supposed to be part of a special procession this past weekend called "Senor de los Milagros," or "Lord of Miracles."
The statues were originally handmade in Peru two decades ago, and have been part of the procession at St. Patrick's ever since they were acquired.
Despite their disappearance, the procession proceeded on Sunday without any further incident.
