Rescuers helped free a deer in Rocky Point that had a a plastic pumpkin stuck on its head.

The Strong Island Animal Rescue League was receiving phone calls about the doe since last Wednesday.

Frankie Floridia says he had to act swiftly, as deer are easily scared off by noise.

His team of rescuers was also on hand.

Floridia says the deer escaped into the woods unharmed.
