One month after the remnants of Hurricane Ida devastated the Hudson Valley, residents in one Yonkers neighborhood say they still haven't received any help.

People living in the 700 block of Warburton Avenue say floodwaters rushed from the top of a hill, barreling through their basements and uprooting their backyards.

Neighbors say this the source of the problem is a stream that flows underground until it surfaces at Warburton avenue. They say this normally tranquil stream was overwhelmed with floodwater from the remnants of Ida.

Several business owners on that block of Warburton Avenue also suffered severe property damage from the storm.

Neighbors say officials, including Gov. Hochul, stopped by to survey the damage and promised to help, but so far nothing has happened.

Yonkers officials say city engineers are working on the issue, but they've also reached out to the state and federal government for assistance.
