Residents in a Rockland County village are voicing their dissatisfaction over a proposal that would create a kosher slaughterhouse. Adir Poultry wants to construct a 26,000 square-foot plant in New Square that would process up to 5,000 chickens a day, logging 21-hour days Sunday through Thursday. The village has yet to schedule a public hearing on the plan, but residents are already speaking out...
