Residents headed to the polls Tuesday to fill a vacant seat in the Westchester County Legislature.
Democrat Terry Clements and Republican Jim Freeman were hoping to represent the county's 11th District, which covers Pelham, Pelham Manor and part of New Rochelle.
The seat was previously held by Republican Jim Maisano, who resigned to become the county's consumer protection director.
By Tuesday night, Clements was ahead by hundreds of votes.
