YONKERS - A retired rock-and-roll DJ from Rockland pleaded not guilty to sex charges today.

Dave Herman faced a federal judge in New Jersey on Thursday. He is charged with trying to bring a 7-year-old girl to the U.S. Virgin Islands for sex.

Herman's attorney says the former Airmont resident was trying to meet the girl's mother, who turned out to be an undercover officer.

He faces a life sentence in prison if convicted.
