Rockland County celebrated 75 years of Israeli Independence this weekend.
Thousands came out to celebrate Israeli Independence Day in West Nyack. Israeli Independence Day is held every year in late April or early May, on the day in the Hebrew Calendar when Israel declared its independence from the British in 1948.
"We have great community support - more than 20 community organizational partners, dozens of sponsors, and thousands of registrants. We're very happy about everybody coming together to celebrate Israel's 75th birthday," said Ari Rosenblum, CEO at the Jewish Federation and Foundation of Rockland County.
The event featured the internationally famous Maccabeats, delicious food and more.
