Rockland County Executive Scott Vanderhoef told a packed audience Tuesday night his vision for the county.
In his 13th State of the County Address, Vanderhoef announced a plan for a new county government complex. The Republican hopes the new building will create a single door entry to county and government services. Vanderhoef also spoke about creating more affordable housing and open space initiatives.
On the economic front, Vanderhoef is going after United Water, which is pushing for a 52 percent rate increase. And he says the county will work to uncover billions of dollars lost in Medicaid fraud.
