Rockland man charged with DWI in fatal crash
Police say a Suffern man has been charged with DWI and could face vehicular manslaughter charges in a car crash that killed his friend.
Police say Brian Frankel, 20, was driving northbound on the New York Sate Thruway at around 2:00 a.m. Sunday when he lost control of his car and flipped over into an embankment. Frankel's friend, 21-year-old Dominic Zeoli, was killed in the crash. Investigators say Frankel may have been drinking.
According to Frankel?s lawyer, David Goldstein, Frankel was the designated driver after a bachelor party he and Zeoli attended. Goldstein says Frankel lost control of the car after another vehicle clipped his.
Funeral services for Zeoli are scheduled Friday at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern.
