YONKERS - A hotel in Westchester's largest city is now set to undergo a multimillion-dollar facelift.

Owners of the Royal Regency on Tuckahoe Road in Yonkers, held a party last night to unveil a plan to renovate and upgrade the hotel's 88 guest rooms, five luxury suites and lobby and reception areas.

Ballrooms, meeting and event spaces are also being upgraded.

The hotel's website and marketing materials will also be revamped. Owners say customers can expect an updated look and the same great service. "We are hoping that they will come into a sleek, modern and trendy hotel that will still provide the same customer service and amenities. Always," says co-owner Maria Pampafikos.

The old furniture from the hotel will be donated to the "Furniture Sharehouse."

The Royal Regency will remain open during the renovations, which are expected to be completed this summer.
