OSSINING - A parish in Ossining commemorated Good Friday by recreating the Stations of the Cross throughout its streets.

The community started the Stations of the Cross at Saint Ann's Church. There were 14 stops in the procession through the area's neighborhoods.

The event has been going on for almost two decades. This year, more than 1,000 people turned out for the event.

Good Friday marks the day Christians believe Jesus was crucified, before rising from the dead on Easter Sunday.
