11h agoRepresentatives for Sarah Lawrence College responded Friday to a lawsuit filed by two former students alleging the school failed to protect them from a convicted sex trafficker.
Lawrence Ray is currently serving 60 years behind bars. Some students say they were coerced into prostitution and were forced to give Ray money over several years.
The judge called him an "evil genius" who used psychological torture to control his victims.
In a statement the college said, "We hope that sentencing has brought some resolution to Ray's victims... For whom the college has deep sympathy."
The school did not comment on the litigation.
