Mount Vernon police are looking for the public's help in locating a pregnant woman with type 1 diabetes who has been missing since Saturday.
Gizela Andrade, 32, called her twin sister Saturday night after getting into a fight with her boyfriend and leaving their Oakley Place home. Andrade, who is four months pregnant, told her sister that she was going to return to her home at around 7 p.m. and hasn't been heard from since.
Andrade's relatives have been circulating flyers in Yonkers and Mount Vernon, hoping to find her. They say she needs medication to stay alive.
"They're just really worried and really hopeful that she gets back," says Andrade's brother-in-law, Jason Larson.
Andrade was last seen driving a 2010 white Toyota Venza. She's 5 feet, 2 inches tall and was last seen wearing beige pants and a white and yellow T-shirt.
Mount Vernon's police chief says at this time, foul play has been ruled out in Andrade's disappearance.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Mount Vernon police at 914-665-2500.
