Gillibrand announced the passage of an anti-fentanyl bill on Wednesday.
The bill aims to empower the United States government to go after producers and traffickers who bring dangerous drugs in the country and hold them accountable.
Gillibrand says this legislation will also declare the international trafficking of fentanyl as a national emergency.
