10h agoA car crash Thursday afternoon has left an elderly woman from Mahopac hospitalized in critical condition.
Mary Callaghan, 81, was traveling eastbound on Highridge Road at a high rate of speed.
Carmel police say Callaghan struck a rock wall in front of 63 Mount Hope Road, after failing to stop at a stop sign proceeding through the intersection.
Officials say they are trying to determine if she suffered a medical emergency prior to the accident.
Callaghan was taken to Westchester Medical Center.
