Sex charges against ex-officer dismissed
Sex abuse charges against a former Ramapo police officer have been dropped after the prosecution's main witness perjured herself.
"It's an inexpressible feeling when you're finally exonerated after 22 long months," says ex-police officer Andrew Dale.
All sex abuse charges against him and Monsey businessman Zalman Silber were dropped Wednesday in Rockland County Court. The two men had been accused of performing gynecological exams on Silber's ex-wife inside the couple's Monsey home.
Rockland County District Attorney Tom Zugibe says when it became clear Silber's ex-wife was lying under oath, he moved to dismiss all criminal charges.
