The potential government shutdown at midnight could shutter some sites and buildings in Westchester and the Hudson Valley. 

Officials at the home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site say they are "sitting on eggshells." The former home and now museum dedicated to the former president in Hyde Park would be closed in the event of a shutdown.

St. Paul's Church, another national historic site located in Mount Vernon, would also close its doors to visitors.

News 12 is told the U.S. Federal Court in White Plains would remain open if the government shuts down.

However, the inability to reach a deal that funds the U.S. government would mean a furlough for thousands of civilian employees at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in Highland Falls.

Hudson Valley Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney says he will not accept a paycheck if the government shuts down.
