NYACK - Thursday's snowstorm is impacting mass transit throughout the region.

More than 8,000 flights have been canceled, and a spokesperson for Delta Airlines says some workers at the Atlanta airport had to sleep on planes overnight because there weren't enough hotel rooms.

The MTA is preparing for the possibility of snow and ice buildup overnight. There could be some service changes for Metro-North. Officials are waiting to see how the storm develops overnight into Thursday. 

Amtrak suspended some of its trains heading south from New York on Wednesday and even more cancellations are possible Thursday.

A spokesperson from Bee-Line Bus says passengers will have to wait until 4 a.m. Thursday to find out if the buses will be running.
