Soldier from Wallkill remembered as inspirational and patriotic

Family and friends are mourning the loss of a soldier from Wallkill who died serving his country. First Lieutenant Mark Dooley was killed Monday morning by an explosive device while serving in Iraq.

Soldier from Wallkill remembered as inspirational and patriotic
Family and friends are mourning the loss of a soldier from Wallkill who died serving his country.
First Lieutenant Mark Dooley was killed Monday morning by an explosive device while serving in Iraq. Dooley?s death shocked and saddened the Wallkill community, especially those at Walkill High School. School officials say the former high school track star turned Vermont National Guardsman will be remembered as a leader.
The flag is flying at half mast in front of Wallkill High School.
