Some gas stations across Hudson Valley accused of price gouging
Gas stations across Westchester are being accused of gas gouging.
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, gas prices hit an all time high across the Hudson Valley and now county officials are worried about gas gouging. Westchester County Executive Andy Spano ordered the Department of Consumer Affairs to conduct a survey of all gas stations. So far, they say they have not found any gas stations that are gouging. A consumer affairs inspector says if oil shortages continue to occur, gas prices in Hudson Valley will continue to rise.
