The organization advises dog owners to get their pets boots and avoid taking them outside other than to relieve themselves.
They also recommend trimming rather than shaving long-haired pets, as animals can freeze very quickly. For short-haired pets, they recommend purchasing a coat or sweater to keep them warm.
