Spring Valley family loses control during accused killer's courtroom appearance
Emotions ran high for a Spring Valley family Thursday as the man accused of killing their loved one appeared in court to face murder charges.
Ryan Ross, 22, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 16-year-old Karesse Ebron. Ebron had been missing for two weeks until police discovered her body in an area off Route 45 in Ramapo. Police say Ross murdered Ebron and then buried the body. Prosecutors say Ross admitted to the murder after Ebron had told him she was pregnant with his child. The medical examiner says the body was too decomposed to tell if this is true.
As Ross was led into the courtroom both the father and uncle of Ebron had to be restrained by police. They say it seems as though the murder has not fazed him.
