Volunteers at the Salvation Army in Spring Valley were working around the clock Thursday to prepare a Thanksgiving feast for anyone in need.
This will be the third Salvation Army Thanksgiving dinner and organizers are expecting more than a 100 people by the afternoon. Volunteers say they have been preparing for weeks. They received 200 turkeys, 70 pounds of potatoes and 200 loaves of bread from the community. Volunteers say they are happy to give up their Thanksgiving to help people with no place to go for the holiday.
All the food that was donated will probably not be used for Thanksgiving, so the Salvation Army will be freezing the rest for Christmas.
