YONKERS - Two Yonkers churches held a special service to commemorate Palm Sunday.

For the past 15 years, congregations from St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church and St. John's Episcopal Church have held their Palm Sunday services together.

More than 100 parishioners attended service at St. Gregorios, before passing out palm leaves. Everyone then followed in procession down the street to St. John's, where an outdoor service was held.

"It's our only opportunity to bring our liturgies together and celebrate as we enter the Holy Week," says Rev. Kristin Kopren of St. John's.
