A helicopter crashed in Orange County, killing the pilot, according to New York State Police.
They say officers were called to Route 218 in the Town of Cornwall Sunday for a report of a downed helicopter.
State police say it crashed near Storm King Mountain around 3:30 p.m. There were no other passengers on board.
The helicopter's tail number and the pilot's name are being withheld for now, but officials say that the helicopter was a Robinson R-44.
The National Transportation Safety Board will arrive to the scene Monday morning to take over the investigation.
