4h agoState police say a Putnam County teenager was killed in motor vehicle crash in Cortlandt on Friday night.
It happened on Route 9 around 8 p.m.
Police say Vladislav Saban, 17, was heading southbound when he sideswiped a car while passing illegally on the right shoulder. He lost control of the vehicle, struck a utility pole and then a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. A 16-year-old female passenger was found in the rear of the vehicle. She is in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center.
