Staying in tune with business: The Rock Shop cuts ribbon on expanded space in Nyack

The owners just cut the ribbon on a new 2,500-square-foot space at 98 Main St., with eight different rock band-themed lesson room studios.

A Nyack business is now expanding after opening during the pandemic.

Kelehan and Jeff Spindel used to play in a band together before opening up The Rock Shop at 120 Main St. in December 2020 - when the pandemic was forcing many others to shutter.
Kelehan's music gigs were on pause, so he shifted his talents to teaching. 
The music store has now grown to have 140 students and several bands.
The owners just cut the ribbon on a new 2,500-square-foot space at 98 Main St., with eight different rock band-themed lesson room studios. 
The business prides itself on being in tune with those who come through their doors.
"We are a community-based business and that we're here to educate, and make music and art," says Spinel
