A surveillance camera caught the thefts of the three wise men and shepherd figurines from Stony Point Town Hall's nativity scene Thursday morning.
The video shows two women exiting a vehicle. One of the suspects retrieves two of the wise men, while her alleged accomplice could be seen running and tripping over a wire.
"I'm certainly not a detective, but they weren't polished criminals," says Stony Point Supervisor Phil Marino.
Police say they set up the camera at the town hall after a baby Jesus figurine was stolen and a Menorah was damaged.
Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call police at 845-786-2744.
