YONKERS -

Officials say two drivers escaped a car fire Tuesday morning after one vehicle hit another and burst into flames.

They say the accident happened on Yonkers Avenue around 12:40 a.m.

Police say one driver reported hurting his knee, while the other driver was not hurt.

They say it took emergency crew about an hour to put out the fire and clear the roadway.
