Rockland County eateries forced to clean up their act

Some eating establishments in Rockland County were forced to clean up their act after they were cited for health violations.
The New Country Buffet, a Chinese restaurant in Spring Valley, was given health code citations for rodent droppings that were found throughout the place, according to health inspectors. The restaurant was also cited for temperature problems at the buffet. The restaurant was shut down last June for similar problems. Health inspectors checked out the place again this week and it passed.
Blauvelt bakery, Le Gateau Suiss on Route 303, was cited for workers handling food without gloves. The bakery was checked again and it fully complied with health regulations. The health commissioner says if eateries don?t maintain their premises in good shape, their permits will be revoked.
