Deliberations continue in case against driver involved in Chester police crashPosted: Updated:
Jury members are continuing to deliberate in the trial of a man charged in relation to a high-speed chase that nearly killed a Chester cop.
Jury members informed Judge Stuart Rosenwasser that they stood deadlocked on six of the 13 charges against 21-year-old Daniel Mooney, and they felt time would not change that. Mooney, who has two prior felony convictions, faces up to 25 years in prison if found guilty.
Mooney led police on a high-speed chase that ended with him crashing into a police car on July 20. Officer Robert Ferrara nearly died from the injuries he sustained, but has since recovered. The jury will begin its fourth day of deliberations Tuesday.
