Posted: Updated:

A 3-year-old boy from Montebello was killed after falling eight stories from a hotel balcony in Hawaii.

Samuel Shpigler was apparently playing with his 4-year-old sister and 6-year-old brother on a balcony when the accident occurred. Investigators say the boy squeezed through the railings on the balcony before falling on New Year?s Day.

David and Lauren Shpigler and their four children were on vacation and were staying in the Ali'i Tower at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki. Police in Hawaii were treating the child's death as an accident.
