Yonkers swears in new City Council president
Democrat Chuck Lesnick was sworn in as the new City Council president of Yonkers Sunday.
Lesnick pledged unity, cooperation and renewal in taking over a council with a Democratic majority for the first time in 20 years. Lesnick said he strives to increase the quality of life of Yonkers residents and also promised waterfront development.
Three City Council members were also inaugurated.
