Posted: Updated:

A Pearl River man is accused of driving more than 110 miles per hour Wednesday during a police pursuit, which led to an accident injuring two state troopers.

State troopers say they clocked 23-year-old Robert Cassidy going 110 miles per hour on the Palisades Parkway at 3:30 a.m. They tried to pull Cassidy over, but instead, he led them on a chase that ended on Route 303 when Cassidy lost control of his car. In trying to avoid Cassidy?s spinning vehicle, the troopers also lost control and crashed. The two officers were treated and released at Nyack Hospital.

Cassidy is charged with DWI, reckless endangerment and other charges. He is being held at Rockland County Jail on $200,000 bail.
