Spring Valley Salvation Army hosts turkey dinner for those in need
For the second year in a row, the Salvation Army in Spring Valley hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for those in need.
Approximately 50 people helped the chef prepare and dole out the turkey and trimmings to people who otherwise would not have had a meal. The community response was so great some volunteers had to be turned away.
Those who organized the event said the meal was about more than food they said it was about coming together as a community and making sure everyone had company for the holiday.
