A Highland Falls man was found guilty Tuesday of murdering his daughter.

A jury deliberated for one day and convicted Christopher Rhodes of second-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of his 7-year-old daughter Jerica on January 27. Her body was found inside a bathroom at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ School in Highland Falls.

Rhodes will be sentenced in Orange County Court on January 4. He is expected to receive 25 years to life in prison.Related Story:
