Three-year-old in critical condition after being hit by a school bus in Monsey
A 3-year-old is in critical condition Thursday after being hit by a school bus in Monsey.
Police say the accident happenrd near the intersection of Grove Street and Saddle River Road. A school bus driver pulling out from a stop didn't see the boy in time. The child suffered multiple internal injuries including broken ribs, a broken pelvis, internal bleeding and a possible head injury.
The boy has been placed on a respirator at Westchester Medical Center. Ramapo police say it appears to be an accident, but they're still trying to determine just how the child was hit.
