Hillburn residents find it hard to believe pot bust suspect is from their village
Hillburn residents say they are shocked that someone from their village was busted with $1 million worth of marijuana. Port Authority police say 23-year-old Shawn Chance is the man behind the largest drug arrest made on the George Washington Bridge this year. On Saturday morning, police pulled over a Penske rental truck because it was traveling on the wrong level of the bridge. They say Chance was behind the wheel and more than $1 million worth of pot was found in the back. Chance told authorities he's from the village of Hillburn, which is made up of just 1,000 people. Most residents in the tight-knit community say they've never heard of Chance and are upset that he is tarnishing the village?s name. Chance remains behind bars while he awaits arraignment.
