Rockland County executive candidates face off on voter concerns

The three candidates hoping to be Rockland County?s new county executive recently faced off at a News 12 debate.
Current County Executive Scott Vanderhoef, who is seeking a fourth term, opened the debate by touting his record. Independent candidate Richard Stolbach says better planning is needed in Rockland towns to combat overdevelopment, which leads to flooding. Democratic candidate Ellen Jaffe says in order to work efficiently there is a need to show a unified front when dealing with state government.
The candidates disagreed on many of the issues, except for Indian Point. They all agree the facility should be shut down.
