Hundreds bid final farewell to Rockland County clerk

Hundreds filed in the Montebello Jewish Center Sunday to pay their last respects to the longtime Rockland county clerk.
People from all political persuasions came out to say one last goodbye to 75-year-old Ed Gorman, who died of an apparent heart Friday at his Suffern home. Gorman served as county clerk since 1989 and was running unopposed for re-election this November. He also served as a county legislature for eight years.
Gorman was buried at the Gates of Zion Cemetery in Muncie. Rockland Democrats must nominate a replacement for Gorman on the ballot by November 4th.Related Story:
