Harriman resident searches for missing relatives in Pakistan quake
A man from Harriman who already lost three nephews in the earthquake in South Asia is returning to his native Pakistan to search for more missing relatives.
Muhammade Said Kahn boarded a plane Wednesday to find the rest of his family that was devastated by the 7.6 magnitude earthquake that hit Pakistan Saturday. Kahn says he knows the chances of finding the rest of his family are slim, but says he has an obligation to at least try. Meanwhile, Kahn's family says although they are worried for his safety, they have nothing but respect for him.
Kahn says he left Pakistan 20 years ago to come to America in search of freedom. He adds he never thought his small town would be gone when he came back.
