Fired worker in New Windsor shooting blamed bosses for child-porn charges
The fired worker who went on a shooting rampage at a New Windsor factory blamed his former bosses for his child pornography conviction. Police say a letter from Victor Piazza was mailed just hours before he shot two former bosses and an office manager before killing himself.
Piazza was fired from Verla International after child pornography was found on his work computer. He was found in violation of his parole and faced arraignment on the day of the shooting. Police say in the letter, Piazza believed he was headed back to jail and wrote, ?that is why I decided to do what I?ve done.?
Police revealed the existence of the letter on the same day one of Piazza?s victims, 48-year-old office manager JoAnne O?Brien, died from her injuries.
