Westchester County officials want answers concerning the recent leak discovered at the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant.

Entergy, which owns the plant, released information Tuesday about a small amount of radioactive water found near the fuel storage building in late August. Westchester County Executive Andy Spano says he should have been informed about the leak right away. And plant opponents, who say the fuel pool is a potential terror target, claim the leak strengthens their call to close Indian Point.

Entergy says the leak was kept quiet for several weeks so that they would have enough information to share with public. They say their engineers and health physics technicians will continue to analyze soil samples and monitor the area around the leak.
