Apartment fire in Spring Valley forces out 30 families

Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire in a Spring Valley apartment complex that forced out 30 families.
Fire officials say the blaze broke out Wednesday night on a third-floor apartment of the Meadow Lane complex. Two apartments were badly damaged and others had smoke and water damage. Firefighters evacuated the entire wing of the complex, leaving families to stay with relatives or the Red Cross.
The apartment manager says most everyone will be able to move back in by Thursday night. Fire investigators are looking into whether or not an air conditioning unit in a third-floor apartment was the cause.
