Police searching for man who held up Nanuet gas station

Police are trying to find a man they say held up a Nanuet gas station Sunday.

The incident occurred at a Citgo gas station and was caught on surveillance video. Authorities say the suspect used a fire extinguisher to assault a worker and steal approximately $400.

The gas station attendant, 60-year-old Antonio Patawran, was taken to Nyack Hospital with injuries to his head, shoulder and hand. Police say the suspect is facing a number of charges including robbery and second-degree assault. Anyone with information is asked to call Clarkstown police at (845) 639-5800.
