East Ramapo School District superintendent to retire after nearly three decades of servicePosted: Updated:
The East Ramapo School District will be turning a new page in January as its superintendent says goodbye after nearly three decades of service. For 12 years Jason Friedman was deputy superintendent in the district and for eight years he served as superintendent, but now Friedman says its time to move on. Friedman says his biggest accomplishment is not in the day-to-day operation of the district, but the thousands of students he's gotten to know over the years. Friedman?s announcement means for the first time in 28 years, the district will conduct a nationwide search for a replacement. The superintendent's last day on the job will be January 13, 2006.
