Goshen town officials making a big stink over a local junkyard

Posted: Updated:

Town officials in Goshen are looking to clean up a local junkyard, claiming the owner is creating an eyesore.

According to Goshen officials, what's in the junkyard Chet's Garage is fine but what's seeping into adjacent properties is not. Officials say the problem is that the owner has bought up property zoned for farming and has used it as a spillover for his junkyard.

One resident who lives near Chet's Garage says she doesn't see the problem. In fact, she says another junkyard down the street is worse yet the town is doing nothing about it. But Goshen officials say they plan to take action against that junkyard as well.
