Lower Hudson Valley Challenger Learning Center reaches a milestone
The Lower Hudson Valley Challenger Learning Center recently welcomed its 50,000th visitor to the Airmont space center.
The space center is designed to teach children and adults alike on the history and experience of space exploration. The Lower Hudson Valley Challenger Learning Center started in 1999 and was named in honor of the men and women whose lives were lost in the Challenger crash 19 years ago.
Students on field trips get to experience simulated space travel. The non-profit center has a space camp as well. As it reaches this milestone, the center continues to ignite the imagination of kids in Rockland County.
