A Rockland County organization held an event Thursday to help residents strengthen their family life.

The event was held at the Palisades Center in West Nyack and was open to all residents. Some of the activities included games and music. One of the event co-chairmen says research shows many of the activities are ways families have stay united.

The organization hosting the event for the second year is called Rockland Cares. Officials say the organization is a group of county departments that plan events for families.
